Is it worth replacing the screen or should I go purchase another computer? It’s a home computer so no work is being done on it.

I took it to another repair place for a second opinion and they told me the whole screen is broken and they have to order a new one (which I know the pro retinas you can’t just take the screen apart). But from the time I went to the repair shop to when I dropped it off, it wasn’t even an hour which makes me think they didn’t even take a look inside of it eitherĮither way, the repair estimates I’ve been getting have been around $500+ and the online estimate worth of the current state of my computer is between $250-$500. Later I asked how they concluded the the logic board was broken and was revealed that they didn’t even look inside the laptop and assumed. Less than 24 hrs I got a call from Apple telling me my logic board is broken (which I know was bull) and they we’re gonna charge me $600 to fix. He quoted me it was going to be 3-5 days before they can look into the computer. He said it might be the screen cord might have unplugged or the internal screen might be broken (worst case). I took it to Apple and the tech plugged it in into an external monitor to ensure that the computer still works, which it did. I can hear the computer turn on and the caps lock glows but nothing appears.
